Justicia brandegeeana

Native to Mexico, Justicia brandegeeana is a small bush of the Acanthaceae family.

The particular form of its orange or red bracts brought it the evocative creole names of Ke a kribich (shrimp tail) or Sirpann a sonnet (rattlesnake) and its vernacular name of Shrimp Plant .
