Grand-Rivière is famous for its foolhardy fishers who pass through the rollers of the Dominica Channel with their motor-driven boats to go fishing at Miquelon (that is to say in the open sea) and to bring back in their nets big fishes: sea breams, tunas, sharks and thazards.
