The flowers of Ixora.
On this photo of yellow Ixora coccinea, it is possible to differentiate the long stems of the flowers which end by 4 cross-shaped petals of one centimetre. Flowers are aggregated in bunches (corymbs). Ixora flourishes all the year, but after every blossoming, the plant has a rest about 6 weeks before taking back its growth. A kind of maternity leave, if one can say.
