Satellite photos of Hoorn Islands (Futuna et Alofi)

    These 2 islands were discovered in 1616 by Dutch navigators who called them Hoorn Islands as one of their ships. The first French to set foot on Futuna was Louis Antoine de Bougainville in 1768. Futuna and Alofi are part of the overseas group of Wallis and Futuna (french Polynesia).
