Sung by Laurent Voulzy, Marie Galante, nicknamed "Island of a hundred windmills" or less poetically "The Big Cookie" because of its rounded shape, is with an area of 158 km2 the 3rd biggest island of the French Antilles, behind Guadeloupe and Martinique. Françoise d' Aubigné, granddaughter of the poet Agrippa d'Aubigné, lived there some years before becoming Madame de Maintenon, secret bride of Louis XIV.
