Satellite view of Fatu Hiva (Marquesas Islands)


    Fatu Hiva is the southernmost island in the archipelago of Marquesas Islands. It is the first island discovered by the Spanish navigator Alvaro de MendaƱa in 1595. Its relief is very impressive, with basaltic peaks of 1000 metres as Les Statues des Vierges in the bay of Hana Vave.
