Mohéli (or Mwali) is the smallest island of the Union of the Comoros. Its attracts however many tourists thanks to its beaches of white sand.
In April 2001, a marine park was created in the south of Mohéli to protect endangered marine species, especially green turtles and corals.
Mohéli island shelters the lake of Itsamia, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage.
