Gommiers (gum tree boats) in Tartane
The tartane that gave its name to the village is a mediterranean sailboat. But the fishers boats of Tartane are traditional gommiers with oars and motor. They are painted of varied colors, and baptized traditionally of names praising God, Virgin Mary and all saints.
