Banana museum : packing unit of the bananas

     Here is the packing unit in which the bananas hands are separated from the the central shaft. On the photo, you can see the blue polyethylene bags which protect the bananas from bugs pricks and maintain them nice and warm so that the fruits develop themselves in an optimal way. It is necessary to know that the bananas must not ripen before arriving in Europe. Therefore, the temperature inside the containers is maintained between 12 and 13 Celsius (55 F.degrees) .
