Steam engine in the park of Saint-James distillery
During the period of the sugarcane harvest, from February to July, you can visit the Saint-James distillery and understand the whole process of rum manufacturing, from the harvest of the cane to the bottling. This photo shows an old steam-powered machine that appeared around the end of the 19th century.
