Picture of the bay of Le Vauclin

The village of Le Vauclin, situated at the bottom of the Vauclin Bay (photo), owes its name to the Count of Vauquelin, who settled in this region for the tobacco farming. Behind the village stands the Mount of Le Vauclin, which is the highest point of the South of Martinique, with its 504 meters.
